I try to search for a specific sender on my email and the results are by date and and time. Check my screenshot and see if your filter is the same as mine. Unfortunately the emails only go back about three months. Is there any way that I can download emails from talktalk from earlier dates i. e months earlier. If I use windows live mail I can access nearly 2 yrs worth of mail from talktalk.

I'd have it add a category then you could filter on the category. You can find the search box at the top of the screen whether you are using the Simplified Ribbon or the Classic Ribbon.
